The architectural unit of Coyne + Associates Architects has been awarded the Architect of Record services for Wendell E Green Elementary School.
The design schedule was compressed to meet the clients' allowable construction scheduling cycle and the construction award was within the projected budget.
Coyne selected for ALA professional practice CEU committeeman.

Patrick Coyne, ALA AIA NCARB was chosen as a voting member of the Association of Licensed Architects' Continuing Education Committee. Most states require contining education of architects to maintain their license in good standing.
The position requires the candidates to evaluate educational programs, presenters and content against acceptable professional standards.
Design services underway at 209 West Jackson, Chicago

The architectural unit of Coyne + Associates Architects has been selected for two full floors at 209 W Jackson, Chicago.
The landmark building will require interior renovations for the new loactions of Acorn Housing, SEIU Local 880 and Acorn. M & J Wilkow will be the owner's rep while Bennet Partners is the tenants real estate advisor.
Design Build Realty divests Patrick Jeffrey Realty real estate unit

The real estate firm of Patrick Jeffrey Realty of Chicago is being divested from the Design Build Realty group.
Originally founded under common ownership, the Patrick Jeffrey Realty unit will be reorganized under independant ownership under recent restructuring of the Design Build Realty group. It is assumed that Patrick Jeffrey Realty will continue to practice real estate brokerage separately.
The Design Build Realty group will continue to practice real estate with a strong focus on B2B (business to business). Expanding the focus on commercial real estate, Design Build Realty will continue offering the single source packaging of services to the commercial market.
Coyne Awarded 2004 Ronald Reagan Gold Medal

Patrick Coyne was awarded the 2004 Ronald Reagan Gold Medal by House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and Tom Reynolds.
"Mr. Coyne has served as an Honorary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council and has provided much needed support," said Reynolds in a press release. "This award could not have gone to a more deserving candidate."

Coyne Certified for Building Permits

The City of Chicago, Department of Construction and Permits (DCAP) certified Patrick Coyne, AIA, ALA, NCARB, of Coyne + Associates Architects for the Expanded Self-Certification Permit Process.
The Self-Certification Review Program accelerates the building permit process for certain types of permits and projects. Illinois licensed Architects and licensed Structural Engineers of Record that are certified to conduct their own reviews and receive their permit in an expedited manner.
This expedited permit process allows a much faster design and construction schedule than the normal permit process in the City of Chicago.
Design Build Realty Opens Public Forum

Design Build Realty, a Chicago based affiliate of firms that provide architecture, construction and real estate services has opened a public forum to allow the multitude of industry players share ideas and opinions on increasing communications and improving processes for design, build and realty services.
Professionals in the industry as well as users of design, build and realty services are invited to participate at the web site. Whether users actually register to be members or just post ideas anonymously, they are still invited to participate. Our goal is to understand and respond to all of the stakeholders in the process.
